Body Lotion For Dry Skin |
| 6/16/2009 5:24:05 PM |

I have really dry skin, especially on my legs, where everyone can see it. When I wear shorts in the summertime, it's bad enough that I have pale, German skin. Add dry skin, and I look really silly on a bright, sunny day. I use body lotion to help moisturize that dry skin.
When I was looking online for a body lotion to purchase, I decided to do a little research to find out what I should look for in my body lotion. I checked out a few different web sites after doing a search for "body lotion ingredients" and "dry skin care", and I found out some interesting things that they put in body lotions to help my dry skin regain its health.
For dry skin, my body lotion needs to be made from natural hypoallergenic ingredients, if I want it to work the best. These should contain any of the following: virgin coconut oil, shea butter, or cocoa butter. These are full of vitamins that will help my skin be replenished, as well as essential oils and proteins. A body lotion that contains an SPF of 15 or more is also advised for dry skin.
I also found out that my body lotion should be applied right after I shower, helping to lock in the moisture that the steamy bathroom offers. And, a humidifier at night will assist in keeping dry skin moisturized, as well. |
